Ice climbing

Ice park Osttirol - the perfect location
The largest artificial ice climbing park in Austria makes the athlete's heart beat faster. In addition to numerous ice falls, which are favored by high and partly shady valleys throughout East Tyrol, the East Tyrolean ice climbing park offers the best conditions for every climbing fan

Approach:
Starting from the Matreier Tauernhaus, the approach to the Ice Park Osttirol runs along the forest road Innergschlöß, then branches off to the left in the direction of the Wohlgemutalm and following the right slope, you finally reach the extensive gravel area at the exit of the Gschlößklamm. Here the Tauernbach is crossed by means of a small pedestrian bridge and you thus reach the foot of the wall of the Ice Park Osttirol in 20 minutes walking time. (LVS device recommended)

Descent: Rappel down at the established rock stands.
Material: Ice and mixed equipment, 70 meters of single rope or 60 meters of double ropes.
