The climbing park Lienz is the largest high ropes course in Tyrol and is one of the best ropes courses in all of Austria. Another climbing hotspot of East Tyrol is located in the Hohe Tauern. Vertical climbers take the via ferrata from Kals to the Blauspitze (2,575 m), which is easily accessible from the mountain station of the Kalser Bergbahnen cable cars. It takes about three hours to reach the top. Numerous trained mountain guides accompany the climbers safely to the summit.
